Walk for ADRA!
Since January, members of the South England Conference of Seventh-day Adventists have been actively participating in a “Step Up” walking challenge, encouraging healthier lifestyles, fellowship, and spiritual well-being through regular physical activity. The challenge officially ended March 31st and participants will celebrate their collective achievements by coming together for a special 5K fundraising walk in support of ADRA-UK.
SEC Health Ministries Department in partnership with ADRA-UK are holding a 5k fundraising walk on Sunday 5 July at a park near to your church.
In many developing countries, women and girls walk up to 6 kilometres each day to collect water that is often contaminated and unsafe, leading to serious health risks. They may also face gender-based violence during these journeys.
This 5K walk is an opportunity to stand in solidarity with these women and girls, raise awareness of the challenges they face each day, and symbolically walk in their footsteps.
Please reach out to your health ministries leader for further information and join us as we support the work of ADRA-UK.
