Philippines Typhoon Response
November 19, 2025
A series of devastating storms has hit the Philippines, leaving communities in crisis.
In late September, Typhoon Opong (Bualoi) made landfall causing severe flooding in the Eastern Visayas, Bicol, and surrounding areas. It left extensive damage in its wake. Thousands of families were affected, with many losing their homes. In response, ADRA and its local partners acted swiftly—distributing essential food packs, WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) kits, and cash assistance to support the most vulnerable.
Just weeks later, Super Typhoon Fung-Wong (Uwan) struck the same communities again with powerful winds and rain, causing landslides. Areas in Bicol and Central Luzon, have once again been hit hard. The Philippines also recently faced two earthquakes.
ADRA Philippines is now carrying out rapid needs assessments to identify the most urgent priorities. Our teams are collaborating closely with local authorities, church networks, and community organizations to deliver timely support and well-coordinated aid.
In the coming weeks, ADRA will focus on repairing homes, restoring livelihoods, and ensuring access to safe water and sanitation.
Please continue to pray for families affected and consider supporting through a donation to help communities recover and come back stronger.
