Ukraine Emergency Response
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia on 24 February 2022 has made more than a million people flee their homes. The ADRA network is responding by providing essential items to refugees as they transit borders and seek shelter in neighbouring countries.
India COVID Response
Although COVID-19 is a global pandemic, just so ADRA’s response is worldwide to meet the needs of people affected everywhere. As the effects of the pandemic evolve, our response is ever expanding to help support families, communities, and health facilities with their changing needs. This includes medical supplies and emergency food, as well as livelihood support and access to education for children who have been out of the classroom for too long.
St Vincent Eruption Response
ADRA launched an appeal in the UK and within a short period of time we raised close to £30,000 to provide immediate help on St Vincent. Together with other ADRA network offices and a generous grant from another organisation, ADRA-UK was able to provide a lifeline to the people on St Vincent.
Beirut Emergency Response
The Beirut Port explosions on 4 August created significant immediate humanitarian needs and severe long-term consequences. The blast has caused damages as far as 20 km from the port, destroying and damaging businesses, houses, hospitals, and schools.
