Our trip to Nepal is now available for booking - and you cannot miss out on this life-changing opportunity!
The dates for the trip are Saturday 2nd September - Monday 18th September. During this time you will be involved in a three-storey school renovation project in the rural Dhading district. You will work with local labourers in cementing roofs and walls, painting, adding fixtures, a water system and all other necessary refurbishments! Add in lots of time with school children and the local community, and you have a life-changing experience on your hands!
This trip will involve low-medium level manual labour for the renovation activities. Please carefully consider the state of your health before applying for this trip, as we will be working in humid climates.
Above all, we require a willingness to help, an ability to work as part of a team and the skill to adapt to new and changing surroundings.
The cost of the trip is £1500, but there is an early-bird price of £1295 for the first few volunteers! This price includes:
* Contribution/percentage to building the project
* All meals and water
* Airport pick-up and drop-off in Nepal (not the UK)
* All travel/transportation in-country
* Sightseeing excursions
* 15 fun and hardworking days in Nepal!
Immunisations required for travel are outside of this cost and will need to be researched and paid for by yourself. We encourage you to make this whole process a fundraising initiative! Set up a website, complete a sponsored run, ask your church board, bake a cake…the possibilities are endless! We provide a fundraising booklet for all attendees and support you every step of the way. You'll be surprised by how much you can raise, just ask our group of volunteers who went to Nepal in 2015 and were able to raise over £20,000 in a matter of months!
There are 30 places available, so do not miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity! This is our largest trip yet and once the spaces are gone, they’re gone!
If you would like to attend, you will need to:
* Fill in our application form
* Provide a non-refundable £200 deposit (which will count towards your overall trip costs)
* Apply for a free Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS), to confirm your suitability to work with children and vulnerable minors
* Provide a reference from your Pastor (or Line Manager if you do not attend a church)
However, you can fill in the application form and provide the deposit to secure your place before the other documents arrive. Spaces are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Further to this, you will need to pay £550 by Monday 29th May, and the remaining £545 by Tuesday 1st August.
Please let me know if you require the application form and our bank details.
